About The Position

Nippon Sanso Matheson is a safety-conscious company where the safety of employees, customers, and contract carriers is the top priority. The company operates a network of air separation plants throughout the southern United States that manufacture liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The Bulk Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the repair, maintenance, and calibration of all company vehicles to ensure safe operation, working under the direction of the Director of Transportation. This position is located remotely.

Requirements

Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be able to be on-call 24/7.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Must be able to work well independently and in a group environment.
Must have excellent communication and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous logistics or maintenance experience in a related field is a plus but not a requirement.
A college degree is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Fosters a safe working environment and works with bulk Terminal Managers and Mechanics to maintain safety standards in the field.
Coaches and develops bulk Mechanics.
Improves the overall profitability of the organization through reduction in maintenance expense and vehicle downtime.
Researches vehicle failures and implements corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
Utilizes the bulk maintenance software system to effectively manage bulk shop inventory.
Responsible for approving and submitting large-scale ($10k and up) repairs.
Acts as a subject matter expert and assists in developing best practices.
Communicates closely with the Director of Transportation to ensure flow of critical information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
