About The Position

The Bulk Clerk maintains, packages, and stocks bulk foods at Sprouts Farmers Market. The role follows the merchandising Bulk plan by packaging and scaling items, filling bulk bins, and preparing, wrapping, and pricing packages accurately and legibly. The clerk rotates products using code dates and follows company cleaning and sanitation procedures.

The Bulk Clerk provides customer service, ensures bulk products are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and keeps the Bulk area clean. The role assists the Bulk Manager as needed, maintains equipment in safe working condition, and receives, unloads, and stocks merchandise throughout the day as needed. Team members under age 18 are restricted from specified tasks, including using ladders, certain equipment, and knives other than safety cutters.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a changing, flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.

• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Be able to vertically and horizontally transfer products weighing up to 50 lbs. from 4 to 36 inches, for a distance of up to 4 feet, for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, package, and stock bulk foods.
• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan, including packaging and scaling bulk items, filling bulk bins, and preparing, wrapping, and pricing packages accurately and legibly.
• Rotate products using code dates.
• Follow the company's cleaning and sanitation program.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Ensure Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and keep the Bulk area clean.
• Assist the Bulk Manager as needed.
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
• Adhere to safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
