About The Position

At Sprouts Farmers Market, a Bulk Clerk maintains, packages, and stocks bulk foods. The role follows the merchandising Bulk plan by packaging and scaling items, filling bulk bins, and preparing, wrapping, and accurately and legibly pricing bulk packages. The Bulk Clerk rotates products using code dates, follows the company’s cleaning and sanitation program, provides a high level of customer service, and ensures bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented and that the area remains clean. The role assists the Bulk Manager as needed, maintains equipment in safe working condition, and receives, unloads, and stocks merchandise throughout the day as needed. The position operates in a fast-paced grocery retail environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitive activities and multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Be able to vertically and horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4 to 36 inches, for a distance of up to 4 feet, for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, package, and stock bulk foods.
• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan, including properly packaging and scaling bulk items and filling bulk bins.
• Prepare, wrap, and price bulk packages accurately and legibly.
• Rotate product using code dates.
• Follow the company’s cleaning and sanitation program and keep the Bulk area clean.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Assist the Bulk Manager as needed.
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.
• Follow safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
