About The Position
This position constructs, erects, repairs, installs, and maintains doors, walls, dry wall, partitions, steps, roofs, windows, furniture, cabinets, screens, scaffolds, concrete forms, and other structural facets of a facility. Repairs and installs locking mechanisms, installs wood, ceramic, cement and vinyl floor tile, glass, ceiling tile, and doors. Supervises and trains inmates in building trades. Position may require a Commercial Drivers License to operate equipment.
Requirements
- Completion of high school.
- Five years of experience in a skilled trade.
- One year of experience equivalent to the E9-level in state service.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony or have felony charges pending.
