About The Position

This position is for a School Secretary at Kenowa Hills Middle School. The role involves Monday-Friday work, 40 hours per week, for less than 44 weeks per year. The pay rate is determined by the Board Authorized Support Staff Pay Schedule. The secretary will manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff, and maintain a secondary class schedule. Confidentiality, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. The role requires excellent organizational and time management skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Proficiency in Power School and Microsoft programs is necessary. This is an in-person role requiring regular, on-site attendance, as the essential functions cannot be performed remotely. The work environment includes classrooms and intervention spaces with moderate to occasionally high noise levels. The secretary will support students with a range of academic needs and may need to redirect or support engagement. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds of instructional materials and equipment is required. The selected candidate must receive clearance from the Michigan State Police Department prior to employment and is responsible for the background check fee.

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of Power School and Microsoft programs.
  • Regular, on-site attendance at the assigned work location.
