About The Position

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support HUD apartment buildings, office locations, and program sites, with a primary focus at the 7500 N. Granville location. The role is based in the Neillsville/Marshfield, Wisconsin area and works Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a rotating on-call schedule. The position involves general maintenance and repairs, preventative maintenance, property upkeep, emergency response, compliance, vendor oversight, documentation, unit turnovers, equipment setup, and facility inspections.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in building and grounds maintenance.
Knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety procedures.
Ability to read blueprints and perform heavy manual labor.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; an MVR check is required.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC work.
Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, water heaters, and mechanical systems.
Maintain property appearance, landscaping, and snow removal.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls through a rotating on-call schedule.
Ensure compliance with HUD, WHEDA, REAC, and local codes.
Monitor vendor work and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist with unit turnovers, equipment setup, and facility inspections.
