Building Maintenance Tech
About The Position
Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Building Maintenance Tech for the Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center. This role is responsible for completing general maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees, performing various work order tasks, and preventative maintenance on spaces and equipment. The Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center is a high-end private hotel and conference center, closed to the public, with 1,400 hotel rooms, nine restaurants and lounges, and 200,000 square feet of meeting space. Associates have access to the Fitness Center, jogging trails, and sports fields. The property caters exclusively to professional clientele and is located in Westlake, Texas.
Requirements
- One year of experience in maintenance required, such as hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs.
- Skilled with using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience in the following: Minor wallpaper and vinyl repair / Repair and paint drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces using rollers and brushes / Repair tile and grout / Refinishing woodwork requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering / Basic plumbing repairs / Basic electrical repairs.
- Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English due to guest contact.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred.
- Texas Driver’s License with good driving record preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel, including toilet issues, sink drains, hot water issues, touch up paint, and light bulb replacement.
- Interacts with guests or employees to ensure maintenance requests are completed successfully.
- Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
- Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and performs necessary repairs relating to their expertise.
- Performs duty rounds by using daily checklists and reports on and corrects noted problems.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use.
- Works in a safe manner, including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
- Responsible for correct use of the maintenance request system.
- Assists with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed.
