The Role If you’re the go-to person, the one who answers the questions, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, the Building Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining our clients' residential properties and village infrastructure. This position includes supervising team of qualified tradesmen and as required, subcontractors on 2:1 roster. This is a FIFO from Brisbane opportunity. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve had previous experience in facility maintenance across the domestic and commercial sectors. Hold trade qualifications and certificates in Electrical work, with QBCC accreditation essential (or the ability to obtain), while ensuring high‑quality maintenance operations and proper care of tools, equipment, and compliance documentation. Lead and support a team of qualified tradespeople, subcontractors, and the scheduler, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and all safety requirements (including issuing safety permits and completing safety KPIs). Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance activities to meet KPIs, including supporting task entry and scheduling processes. Prepare reports for clients and stakeholders, participate in internal and regulatory audits, and act as an escalation point for issues or complaints. Manage the cost centre P&L and ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel safely to and from work
  • Physically fit and able to work long shifts (up to 11 hours) on 14 days on 7 days off roster
  • You will be required to obtain a National Police Check, should you not have one dated within the last 6 months
  • Ability to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditions
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening
  • Sound understanding of statutory acts, regulations and codes, and be able to follow safety procedures, permits and JSEA’s
