About The Position

As a general building maintenance assistant, you will actively participate in all operations related to the functioning of the buildings that make up Beneva's real estate portfolio. You will perform preventive or corrective maintenance tasks and carry out repair and construction tasks related to your skills. You will be responsible for the following tasks and functions: Using the CMMS and supporting the building manager, perform preventive maintenance work related to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as any other tasks related to general building maintenance. Operate the building management system, access control system, and fire protection systems. Execute certain work following complaints or requests from building tenants. Perform various maintenance tasks such as plastering, painting, tiling, and carpentry. Receive and accompany maintenance service providers. Report to your supervisor on activities carried out and propose modifications likely to improve service and reduce management costs. Facilitate the entry and installation of new tenants by providing them with the required support. Travel, as needed, to purchase materials or various supplies. Perform work in all buildings managed by Beneva. During winter, perform snow removal according to weather conditions to ensure the safety of the premises and occupants at all times.

Requirements

  • Possess a professional studies diploma in general building maintenance or a related construction trade, or the equivalent.
  • Own a car, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to Beneva's various buildings in Quebec.
  • Possess good physical fitness, be skilled, and be a good handyman.
  • Be available, if required, to be on the on-call team for evenings and weekends, on a rotating basis.
  • Successfully complete the required security check to work in our buildings.
