Building Decarbonization Analyst

The Cadmus Group, Inc.•New York, NY
•$70,000 - $85,000

About The Position

Cadmus seeks a Building Decarbonization Analyst to join its Energy Services team. The role is designed for candidates with 2–4 years of experience who want to combine fieldwork and technical analysis to advance energy efficiency and decarbonization at commercial and industrial facilities. The analyst spends an average of 1–2 days per week in the field conducting ASHRAE Level 2 energy audits and inspections, engaging with facility staff, collecting site data, and identifying opportunities to improve building energy systems. Systems may include lighting, HVAC, chillers, boilers, controls, and other major end uses. A solid foundation in building energy systems is required, although deep expertise in every system is not expected. When not in the field, the analyst supports engineering desk reviews, energy savings analysis, and measurement and verification (M&V) activities on projects in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Desk reviews include reviewing equipment specifications, engineering calculations, and energy savings estimates. M&V work includes analyzing metered and operational data and implementing established approaches. The position offers opportunities to develop experience across energy efficiency and decarbonization projects while working alongside experienced engineers and project teams. The role requires local travel to client sites in the Philadelphia, New York, and Boston areas. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. permanent resident or U.S. citizen.
