About The Position

Bishop is hiring part-time evening custodians to provide cleaning services at medical buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities, following the cleaning specifications for each building. The role offers flexible hours and allows employees to work at their own pace and choose how much they work. Custodians are paid weekly and per building; the stated compensation is $10–$14 per hour, with an average experienced custodian making $13 per hour. The position involves working independently or with a group in a minimally supervised environment. Employees use a personal smartphone with data capability to record arrival and departure times and communicate through the company app. Applicants must pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Personal smartphone with data usage capability.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Motivated and dependable, and able to work alone or with a group in a minimally supervised environment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to use mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
Collect trash and replace trash can liners.
Clean, sanitize, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Wipe windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Dust and clean overhead vents.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the custodian's closet.
Communicate with the supervisor to ensure cleaning quality and customer service.
Follow all safety guidelines.
Follow proper procedures for using cleaning solutions, equipment, and tools according to specifications.
Report abnormal activities or conditions to management.
Ensure chemicals and equipment needed are available and in working order.
Record arrival and departure times and communicate on the company app using a personal smartphone.
