About The Position

Comfort Systems USA Ohio is growing its Building Automation Systems (BAS) team in Columbus and is seeking a Building Automation Sales Representative to help expand its BAS, HVAC controls, service agreement, retrofit, and integrated building systems business. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong technical understanding of building automation who enjoys solving customer challenges, building relationships, and wants to transition into a consultative sales career while remaining connected to the technical side of the industry. The role involves partnering with building owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, and end users to identify and develop solutions for various building systems and projects. You will work closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to develop practical solutions that improve building performance, occupant comfort, system reliability, and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experienced in Building Automation Systems or HVAC controls
  • Customer-focused with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable explaining technical solutions in a clear and practical way
  • Organized, self-motivated, and driven to grow business
  • Interested in developing a long-term career in technical sales

Nice To Haves

  • Previous outside sales experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong technical backgrounds who are ready to grow into a customer-facing sales role.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with building owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, and end users to identify and develop solutions for Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) service agreements, controls upgrades and system integrations, retrofit and modernization projects, energy optimization initiatives, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Develop long-term customer partnerships and account growth.
  • Work closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to develop practical solutions that improve building performance, occupant comfort, system reliability, and energy efficiency.
