About The Position

Since 1984, Brooks Building Solutions has been delivering innovative commercial HVAC and building automation solutions throughout Florida. With offices across the state and a strong reputation for quality and customer service, we're continuing to grow—and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to help lead our expansion in the Tampa market. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established company while playing a key role in building and growing our local operations. You'll have the backing, resources, and stability of a company with more than 40 years of success, while making a direct impact on the future of our Tampa team. We are seeking a Project Manager with strong commercial HVAC experience and a proven track record managing projects valued at $500,000 or more. In this role, you'll lead projects from planning through completion, ensuring exceptional execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Experience with building automation or controls systems is a plus, but not required. Pay Range: $90,000-110,000+, negotiable based on experience In addition to base salary, all locations include your choice of a company vehicle with gas card or a $700/month vehicle allowance with gas card.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $500K.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Equivalent experience and/or relevant certifications will also be considered.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with building automation or controls systems (e.g., DDC, BAS, Niagara, Tridium) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience as an MEP Project Manager in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing construction will be considered highly transferable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of building automation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Track budgets, schedules, change orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure project compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, and contractors.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and company leadership.
