Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in automation, electrical engineering, instrumentation and control, or industrial electronics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French.
  • Experience in PLC/DCS programming using function blocks, ladder logic, SFC, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, motor schematics, loop drawings, equipment documentation, and control narratives.
  • Proficiency in programming Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC platforms and Micro control platforms
  • Proficiency in Wonderware System Platform programming with OMI.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience participating in automation projects from design to commissioning in process control, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, and OPC.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism when interacting with clients, contractors, and within PHS Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project managers and the engineering team
  • Execute project start-ups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installations
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to coordinate communication protocols and system integration requirements
  • Participate in final inspections and testing, ensuring client acceptance
  • Implement software code and manage all aspects of software delivery and commissioning for commercial HVAC control systems and building automation systems
  • Program projects of varying complexity, including custom control programs and sequences of operation
  • Perform network troubleshooting, control system troubleshooting, and corrective programming
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on system configuration, network and software requirements, graphics, programming, and sequences of operation for assigned projects
  • Develop programming, graphics, and sequences of operation for DDC systems
  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation
  • Record and communicate deviations to the project team
  • Execute system commissioning and functional testing
