About The Position

As a Builder at David Weekley Homes, you will oversee subcontractors and manage the residential construction process from start to finish, ensuring high-quality, on-time, cost-efficient delivery and an excellent customer experience. You will communicate with homeowners, coordinate with internal teams and trade partners, and take ownership of construction activities through completion.

Requirements

Prior residential production building experience.
Ability to schedule, supervise, and motivate trade partners while upholding quality, safety, and craftsmanship standards.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Computer proficiency for job costing, payroll, and communication with vendors, trades, and internal team members.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of field management experience preferred.
College degree or related professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee home construction from breaking ground to completion, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and cost-efficient delivery.
Build relationships with homeowners through clear communication, meetings, and walkthroughs to support customer satisfaction.
Schedule, coordinate, and manage more than 30 subcontractors while maintaining relationships and enforcing quality and safety standards.
Work with Sales, Warranty, and the Office Team to provide a seamless building and closing experience.
Maintain a professional, clean, and organized job site in accordance with company and safety standards.
Monitor budgets to control construction costs.
Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.
