About The Position

The Builder Sales Specialist owns the Builder sales floor at Nevada Pic A Part’s Lamb or Henderson location and serves as the main point of contact for customers interested in complete used vehicles sold through the Builder Program. The role involves approaching customers, showing vehicles, explaining known condition details honestly, learning inventory and pricing, helping customers choose suitable options, following up on leads, and moving interested buyers toward completing sale paperwork. The position works with Car Buying, Customer Service, and Production to ensure inquiries and handoffs proceed smoothly, and supports Customer Service and register duties when Builder activity is slow. This is a full-time, on-site, hourly, non-exempt position paying $17 per hour plus performance-based compensation tied to Builder vehicle sales. The manager sets the schedule according to business and customer needs. The anticipated shift is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks, for 40 paid hours per week. Weekend work, including both Saturday and Sunday, and attendance at scheduled major sale events such as Black Friday and Memorial Day are required. Overtime requires advance approval from the Sales Manager.

Requirements

Customer-facing sales or customer service experience.
Comfort approaching customers and initiating conversations.
Honest, plain-spoken communication, including a willingness to say when information is unknown rather than guess or oversell.
Ability to learn inventory, pricing, and vehicle condition details and explain them clearly.
Organized follow-through, including tracking leads and following up on time in person and online.
Professional appearance and a friendly, low-pressure style.
Availability to work weekends and major sale days.
Dependable, consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Own the Builder floor during each scheduled shift by monitoring the floor and inventory and approaching every customer looking at a Builder vehicle.
Show vehicles and explain known condition information clearly and without pressure, helping customers in English or Spanish.
Learn available Builder inventory, pricing, and program details to answer questions accurately and recommend options suited to customer needs.
Answer questions honestly about vehicle condition and clearly state what is not known.
Post Builder vehicles online after they are priced and approved, and promptly respond to online comments and inquiries.
Follow up with every interested customer in person and online, and keep lead statuses current.
Help interested customers make a decision and start the sale paperwork.
Coordinate with Car Buying, Customer Service, and Production so inquiries are handled and handoffs through delivery, movement, and sale go smoothly.
Support the Customer Service team and work the registers when Builder activity is slow.
Maintain a professional appearance and presentable showing area, follow Builder processes and SOPs, and comply with Company safety rules.
