About The Position
The Buffer Prep Operator II performs and trains others on core Buffer Prep operations, supports advanced processes, and leads inventory and continuous improvement activities with increasing independence and ownership. The role is part of the Buffer Prep department at Aldevron in Fargo, North Dakota, and is performed onsite. It reports to the Buffer Prep Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write in English and perform basic arithmetic.
- Two years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing 50 pounds or less.
- Use large barrel dollies as needed and follow safe practices.
Nice To Haves
- Documentation experience in a GDP environment.
- Experience wearing PPE, including a hairnet, safety glasses, lab coat, gloves, and boot covers.
- One year of buffer prep manufacturing experience in a regulated environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform and train others on all Buffer Prep Operator I responsibilities, with increased independence, consistency, and ownership in daily operations.
- Support advanced Buffer Prep processes, including column packing, resin preparation, and ABEC tank operations.
- Complete cycle counts and lead continuous improvement activities, including 5S, ergonomic improvements, and other process improvement projects.
