Buff and Polish Reconditioner
About The Position
As a Buff and Polish Reconditioner, within this role you will perform cosmetic reconditioning on a device following a precise documented process, based on the cosmetic defects identified at the Reconditioning Grading Station. The result is to improve the cosmetic condition of the device to either A‑Stock or CPO grade. This role is based at our Lewisville, TX location with a schedule of Monday-Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm This job posting is part of our ongoing efforts to build a strong talent network for current and future opportunities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand work process and flow
- Ability to use computer systems
- Ability to assess cosmetic defects
- Ability to work with pneumatic tools / automated machinery
- Understand display material construction
- Maintain consistent polishing pressure / run automated machinery
- Understand single‑unit process flow
- Maintain product segregation
- Adhere to all safety and PPE requirements
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Strong verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- 1+ year manufacturing experience
- 1+ year QA/Inspection experience
- Procedure‑compliance experience
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels
Responsibilities
- Identify cosmetic device condition
- Perform reconditioning under prescribed process (depth of scratch, abrasives, pads, pressure, timing) / utilize automated machinery
- Maintain successful reconditioning rate >80%
- Demonstrate grading alignment through quarterly evaluations
- Enter grading data into system database
- Document work performed
- Participate in continuous improvement
- Maintain productive relationships
- Provide process improvement feedback
- Work under immediate supervision
- Perform other duties as assigned
