About The Position

Native Roots Budtenders provide knowledgeable, personalized service to customers and patients, helping them navigate cannabis products and make recommendations based on their wellness needs. They educate customers about product benefits and ensure sales are completed accurately and in compliance with applicable requirements. The role also supports daily store operations through inventory and delivery intake, order processing, and keeping the store clean and organized. This is a part-time, in-person role at the store location, with open availability required.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Must hold or obtain a valid Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee License.
Strong communication skills.
Must work in person at the store location based on schedule.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items.

Nice To Haves

Customer service, cash handling, and/or sales experience.
Cannabis knowledge or cannabis industry experience.
Knowledge of local and state laws related to cannabis sales, including MED regulations.
Experience operating POS systems.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in customers and patients.
Learn about customers’ and patients’ wellness needs and recommend suitable products.
Educate customers and patients about the benefits of cannabis products.
Assist with delivery and transfer intake and inventory management.
Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including organizing products and inventory, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Complete sales transactions, including cash handling, POS system use, and compliant product packaging and labeling.
Enter or modify customer and patient information in the POS system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
