About The Position

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps them select products, follows company policies and procedures, and provides a positive patient experience. The role also involves educating patients about cannabis products, handling sales and inventory, maintaining the dispensary, and ensuring compliance with company and state requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and receive a state facility agent card.
Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other team members.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive experience for patients.
Recommend cannabis products based on patients’ needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
Stay informed about new cannabis products and industry trends.
Process patient payments using the dispensary’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
Keep the store clean and well-organized.
Educate patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
Verify patients’ identification, legal age, and credentials for entering the dispensary and purchasing products.
Take inventory and ensure the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks.
Follow company and state policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
