About The Position

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, assists them with product selections, follows company and state policies and procedures, and helps ensure a positive patient experience. The role also involves advising patients on cannabis products, processing payments, maintaining the store, educating patients on safe product use, handling and stocking products, verifying identification and credentials, and completing assigned opening and closing tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and receive a facility agent card from the state.
Knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other team members.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the retail space.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive experience for patients.
Advise patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
Stay informed about new cannabis products and industry trends.
Process patient payments using the dispensary's point-of-sale (POS) system.
Keep the store clean and well-organized.
Educate patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
Check identification documents to verify patients are of legal age and have the credentials required to enter the dispensary and purchase products.
Take inventory of cannabis products and keep the sales floor adequately stocked.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks.
Follow company and state policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
