About The Position

Nectar Cannabis is hiring a Budtender for its Daly City cannabis dispensary. Budtenders are the face of Nectar and help customers find appropriate products while creating a positive store experience that encourages them to return. The role involves product recommendations, customer service, sales transactions, cash handling, compliance checks, and maintaining the store. The position starts at $18.00 per hour plus nightly cash tips. Nectar offers opportunities to develop skills and advance, including promotion opportunities to key holder roles.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for the entirety of a full shift.
• Must have a reliable method of transportation to work.
• Must have open availability and be willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to complete a Live Scan fingerprint background check.
• Exceptional customer service skills in a retail setting.
• Desire to learn about products and cannabis.
• Basic computer skills, point-of-sale software knowledge, and cash-handling skills.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and compliance-oriented approach.
• Fun, outgoing attitude and a team-player mentality.

Nice To Haves

• Prior supervisor or management experience is highly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide educated product recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
• Promote store deals, the rewards program, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, inviting, and well-stocked store environment.
• Promote a positive, customer-service-oriented work environment and follow established policies and procedures.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of products, brands, and vendors.
• Use Dutchie POS accurately for in-person and online or phone orders.
• Handle cash accurately and apply discounts properly.
• Explain deals and promotions to customers.
• Enter recreational and medical customer information accurately and confidentially.
• Verify customer identification and/or medical cards before each sale to ensure compliance.
• Perform other store duties as assigned by the Management Team based on location and business needs.
