About The Position
The Budtender delivers an exceptional guest experience through personalized cannabis recommendations, product education, and outstanding customer service. The role supports day-to-day dispensary operations by assisting guests, processing transactions, maintaining compliance with Florida cannabis regulations, and contributing to a welcoming, efficient, and professional retail environment. The position works in a loud, fast-paced, energetic retail environment featuring specialized product displays for flower, edibles, and concentrates. Staff must adapt to busy rushes, when wait times and long lines are common during peak hours. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, and climbing for long periods of time.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in the cannabis industry.
- Cash-handling experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Nice To Haves
- Product knowledge is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, listen to their needs, and make personalized recommendations.
- Explain differences between cannabis types, such as flower, edibles, and concentrates, and how to use them safely.
- Check IDs to verify legal age, adhere to purchase limits, and follow state and local laws.
- Process transactions using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle cash accurately.
- Assist with daily cleaning, stock shelves, and maintain an accurate inventory of products.
- Improve personal average order value (AOV), personal units per transaction (UPT), and average daily sales month over month.
