About The Position

Amwins is hiring a Brokerage Assistant for its Brokerage team in Chicago. The position is internally titled Technical Assistant and provides administrative and account-servicing support to brokers for new and renewal accounts. The assistant enters and updates client information across online systems, gathers and verifies account details, helps establish accounts, and assists with quoting, policy processes, account changes, and renewals. The role is not commission-based and does not involve cold calling.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Support brokers with day-to-day administrative tasks for new and renewal accounts.
• Enter and update client information in multiple online systems.
• Gather and verify client details and maintain accuracy across records.
• Help with account setup and ongoing servicing.
• Set up new accounts and assist with quote and policy processes.
• Manage updates and changes to existing accounts, such as document revisions or policy updates.
• Collect and organize information for account renewals, including requesting updated reports and preparing renewal communications for agents.
