About The Position

Ode, Anthropic's services venture, is seeking existing engineering teams of 2-5 individuals to join them. This program allows teams to stay together and focus on building AI solutions for clients. Ode specializes in bringing frontier AI into practice, tackling complex AI problems for companies and turning cutting-edge technology into real-world impact. They work closely with client Applied AI and Product teams. The program offers a streamlined interview process, a single offer for the entire team, and the opportunity to work together on initial projects. The role is described as applying standard software engineering discipline to the non-deterministic world of frontier AI, designing systems around testable hypotheses, curating durable data sets, and ensuring long-term functionality. Engineers typically ship two to three products per year and gain experience from dozens more, with significant autonomy and time spent on the frontier of models and tooling.

Requirements

Existing team of 2-5 engineers.
Team members should fall into categories of existing engineering and PM roles (Software Engineer, Senior/Staff Software Engineer, or Forward Deployed PM).
Every team member must clear a similar bar as all other Ode team members.
Experience building complex AI systems.
Experience partnering closely with customers to ensure solutions deliver results.
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
Ability to handle hard technical problems.
Experience with frontier AI models and tooling.
Strong software engineering discipline.
