We seek Briefing Skills Training Instructor | Briefing Skills Training [USARC0009009] candidates with relevant DOD/Military Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for DOD/Military Sector Clients such as USARC. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Briefing Skills Training Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional - Civilian Training Services Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Briefing Skills Training Instructor [Civilian Training Services] aligned with the Briefing Skills Training Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the DOD/Military Industry Sector. This role focusses on HC | Human Capital Solutions for clients such as United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) | USARC Civilian Training Services - 'Civilian Personnel Management Office (CPMO) Generally Located In CONUS - Southeast (Fort Bragg, NC and Virtual Delivery) and across the Southeastern United States / U.S. East Coast Region (Of Country/World) Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual. Delivering briefing skills learning solutions that strengthen workforce readiness, leadership effectiveness, and mission performance. The Briefing Skills Training program is a professional communication and leadership development course designed to strengthen participants’ ability to prepare, organize, and deliver clear, concise, and persuasive briefings that support organizational objectives and informed decision-making. This training equips participants with practical techniques for audience analysis, message development, information prioritization, executive-level communication, public speaking, and presentation design while emphasizing the importance of tailoring information to diverse stakeholder groups. Through facilitated instruction, coaching, experiential learning activities, presentation exercises, and performance feedback, participants develop the confidence and discipline necessary to communicate complex information effectively, engage audiences, and influence outcomes in both virtual and in-person professional environments. The program incorporates contemporary communication theories, presentation best practices, adult learning methodologies, and technology-enabled briefing tools to enhance communication effectiveness, leadership presence, and organizational impact. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to develop and deliver clear, concise, and persuasive briefings; apply audience analysis techniques to tailor messaging effectively; utilize brainstorming and information organization methods to structure presentations; employ effective verbal and non-verbal communication techniques; demonstrate public speaking skills that increase confidence and credibility; prioritize information and eliminate unnecessary content to improve briefing effectiveness; engage audiences through interactive communication strategies and presentation best practices; deliver recommendations and findings that support organizational decision-making processes; incorporate technology and presentation tools to enhance message delivery; and evaluate and improve personal briefing performance through feedback and self-assessment.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years professional training, facilitation, instructional delivery, or military/civilian workforce development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience; instructional certifications preferred.
  • Primarily focused on Professional and Management Development Training initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Briefing Skills Training Functional Area Activities.
  • Facilitation, adult learning, communication, curriculum delivery, virtual instruction, assessment.
  • Leadership, collaboration, problem solving, communication, adaptability, customer focus.
  • Integrates LMS platforms, audio/visual technologies, interactive exercises, and performance-based learning methodologies.
  • understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio; and able to quickly learn other tools as needed.
