Bridge Engineer Intern
About The Position
Thornton Tomasetti is hiring an Engineer Intern for its Transportation Practice Bridge Team in New York for Summer 2027. The Transportation practice works across bridge and structural engineering, civil engineering, resident engineering and inspection, bridge inspection, and geotechnical engineering, supporting analysis, design, evaluation, monitoring, and rehabilitation of transportation infrastructure. The intern will work on designing projects or project components from conception through construction. Day-to-day work includes conducting analyses, developing calculations, interpreting data, recognizing problems, and finding solutions. Work will follow corporate quality control standards within the discipline.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Excellent academic record.
Nice To Haves
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with BIM is a plus.
Responsibilities
