About The Position

As a Brewery Operations Intern, you will be part of our Early Talent Program. This program is Molson Coors’ undergraduate summer internship program, where students are exposed to the beverage industry, engaged in real-world problem-solving, and immersed in social and educational opportunities with other interns. The internship is a full-time summer position from May 3 - August 6 (Canada interns) and May 25 - August 6 (U.S. interns). Housing assistance is available to candidates who meet eligibility requirements. Applicants must be an undergraduate student (enrolled in undergraduate courses), during the summer internship, to participate in the Early Talent Program. Interns who successfully complete the Early Talent Program are considered for full-time positions within Molson Coors Beverage Company, upon graduation.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in brewing, food science, science (chemistry, biology, microbiology), or chemical engineering for the Brewing department.
  • Pursuing a mechanical, electrical, industrial, packaging or related engineering discipline for Packaging, Supply Chain, Distribution and Technical Services.
  • Love a challenge.
  • Complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with an understanding of business priorities.
  • Build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.
  • Take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
  • Have a thirst for learning – always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, organize, schedule, and lead projects focused on systems, process, and/or capital projects to help the brewery meet their overall goals.
  • Apply project management principles and technical expertise to ensure successful project execution and meet business objectives.
  • Serve as a resource to support high-level technical issues within the Brewery.
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of brewery operations with detailed knowledge of specific operations.
  • Understand and demonstrate the basic steps to implement a highly successful project from start to finish.
  • Gain an understanding of your field in a manufacturing environment from an operational improvement and project management perspective.
  • Examples of projects include: Reducing extract losses, improve maintenance job plans, instrumentation quality improvement projects, and hygiene in Brewing; Process reliability improvement (line efficiency) through stop reduction, improving waste performance through loss reduction, asset care, and quality improvement projects with a focus on hygiene in Packaging; Inventory and space planning and optimization, visual factory/performance tracking, improving perfect order adherence, and focusing on run to schedule and loaded compliance in Supply Chain; Development of project justifications (CBI’s), implementation of small plant project(s) from start to finish (system, capital or process based), and environmental optimization initiatives and compliance in Technical Services.
