About The Position

Jennie-O Turkey Store is seeking a Full Time Breeder Operator for their Barron, WI location. This role involves performing daily farm activities and chores associated with caring for breeder turkeys, hatching eggs, and farm equipment. The operator will also assist employees with safety, productivity, and cost control through active involvement in farm management and problem-solving. Accurate accounting and record-keeping for eggs packed, eggs culled, cooler temperatures, humidity, and internal egg temperatures are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Reliable transportation to and from assigned farm
Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays
9th grade math level, reading and writing skills
Ability to work unsupervised
Able to lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist occasionally
Able to wear eye and respiratory protection equipment continually
Ability to work in all weather conditions cold & hot
No restrictions with lifting, bending or standing

Nice To Haves

Valid driver's license with a good record
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years farm experience
Flexibility in schedule to accommodate the changes in production needs

Responsibilities
