About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking a fellowship-trained breast imaging radiologist for a full-time, on-site, 100% subspecialized position. This role offers the opportunity to practice within the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, Nebraska’s only NCI-designated cancer center, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The position emphasizes a collaborative multidisciplinary environment with dedicated breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, genetic counselors, and advanced practice providers. The department offers flexible, equitable, and transparent scheduling with academic time built into the schedule, and a collegial team of experienced breast imagers, technologists, nurses, and support staff. There are opportunities for teaching, research, leadership, and program development based on individual interests. Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology
  • Completion of a breast imaging fellowship, or equivalent breast imaging training and expertise
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Nebraska
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and collaborative practice
  • Board certified in Radiology

Responsibilities

  • 100% subspecialized breast imaging practice
  • Broad spectrum of breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures using all modalities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment
  • Teaching, research, leadership, and program development based on individual interests
