Emory University’s School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals are seeking fellows for the Breast Imaging Fellowship beginning in July 2027. The fellowship follows the revised American College of Radiology/Society of Breast Imaging curriculum and integrates fellows into the Emory Breast Health Care Team, a multidisciplinary group that includes breast surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, breast pathologists, nurse navigators, nurses, nurse practitioners, technologists, and support staff. The program emphasizes empathetic, evidence-based patient care and interaction. Fellows participate in weekly multidisciplinary breast conferences at the hospitals where they rotate. Clinical training includes interpreting screening and diagnostic mammograms, including digital tomosynthesis; performing and interpreting breast ultrasound exams; interpreting breast MRIs; and developing proficiency in breast interventions. Fellows gain exposure to contrast mammography and breast cryoablation. The fellowship also includes teaching medical students and residents. Research opportunities are available and encouraged; research time is allocated to fellows with approved projects and demonstrable progress. Position tasks are generally performed in person at an Emory University location. Remote-work-from-home days may be granted at department discretion, and Emory reserves the right to change remote-work status with notice.
