Denver HealthDenver, CO

About The Position

We are currently accepting applications for 1-year breast imaging fellowships at Denver Health, an academic health care system affiliate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine, for the academic year 2027-2028. Our mission is to provide an excellent educational experience for our fellows, covering all aspects of breast imaging care. Fellows are provided dedicated training in screening and diagnostic mammography (2D and 3D), contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as multi-modality image-guided breast interventional procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound- guided and MRI guided biopsies, and localizations with wires and Savi Scouts. We provide an optimal combination of study volume, including dedicated screening time with routine 1-on-1 faculty readouts for learning, procedure volume, and academic time to produce well- balanced, highly skilled breast imagers. Fellows will be exposed to a wide variety of imaging protocols tailored to optimize cancer detection and participate in multiple high-level multidisciplinary tumor board discussions. Graduating fellows receive the necessary training and resources to excel in either academic or private practice settings following completion of the program. There are numerous educational resources available to support trainee education including a dedicated lecture series, use of breast imaging learning modules, multidisciplinary breast rotations (visiting rotations on breast surgery, pathology, and oncology services) and routine rad-path conferences. As integral members of the section, fellows participate in the supervision and education of residents on service. The fellowship offers additional scholarly opportunities in clinical research, social media outreach, and/or health policy research and advocacy.
