About The Position

The Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a Breast Imaging Specialist to provide specialized radiology procedures. This role involves reading mammograms, interpreting various imaging studies (mammography, ultrasound, MRI), performing diagnostic procedures, collaborating with healthcare teams, and consulting with patients. The specialist will also stay current with advancements in breast imaging, participate in continuing education, and oversee the mammography program to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements (ACR, FDA/VHA, MQSA).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year as a Radiology Physician within the last 2 years.
  • Completion of a Radiology residency program AND a fellowship in Breast Imaging
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology by ABR, AOBR, or ABIM.
  • Must have an active, unrestricted medical license and radiology certification.
  • Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience in diagnostic radiology, CT, ultrasound, 3D Tomosynthesis mammography, and MRI
