About The Position

The Breakfast Host sets up and maintains the breakfast bar in an attractive, organized, clean, and standardized presentation. The role involves preparing and arranging food and beverages, monitoring inventory and supplies, keeping dining and surrounding areas clean, and providing excellent guest service. The host also inspects areas for safety hazards and equipment operating conditions, and reports lost-and-found items and maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team. Proper clothing, including non-slip shoes, must be worn in accordance with company policy and brand standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

One year of hostess experience in a restaurant is required.
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of health department standards for food sanitation and safety practices.

Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain the breakfast bar in an attractive, abundant-looking, organized, clean, and standardized presentation.
Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day.
Order or purchase food supplies.
Prepare foods and beverages such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other products.
Arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
Clear and clean tables as they are vacated; wipe spills and remove trash.
Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
Wash serving equipment and return it to storage; return reusable food supplies to storage.
Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors, mop floors, and dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces using cleaners designated by the immediate supervisor.
Inspect areas for safety hazards and check equipment operating conditions.
Report lost-and-found articles and common-area maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team.
Provide excellent guest service.
Wear clothing required by company policy and brand standards, including non-slip shoes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
