About The Position

Kana Hotel Group is hiring a part-time Breakfast Host to support its hotel breakfast service on Saturdays and Sundays. The role is responsible for preparing and maintaining an orderly, clean, and standardized breakfast area; preparing and replenishing food and beverages; cleaning tables, floors, furniture, and other surfaces; and providing excellent guest service. The employee must follow company clothing policies and brand standards, including wearing non-slip shoes, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

One year of restaurant host experience is required.
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of health department standards for food sanitation and safety practices.

Prior hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain the breakfast bar in a classy, organized, clean, and standardized presentation.
Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day.
Prepare foods and beverages such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other products.
Arrange cold foods such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
Clear and clean tables as guests finish using them.
Wipe up spills and remove trash.
Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
Return reusable food supplies to storage.
Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors, and mop floors.
Dust, clean, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces using cleaners designated by the immediate supervisor.
Inspect areas for safety hazards and check equipment operating conditions.
Report lost-and-found articles and common-area maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor and maintenance.
Provide excellent guest service.
Wear proper clothing according to company policy and brand standards, including non-slip shoes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
