The Bravehearts will create a new and innovative resource in the Rockland community for young adults to seek support and empowerment from their peers while advocating for the improvement of services and the inclusion of youth voice by expanding Braveheart motivational meetings and support services to youth within the target population as detailed by the grant, within Rockland County. The Braveheart Peer Navigators will used both lived and leadership experience and expertise to nurture, develop and facilitate the activities of the Rockland Bravehearts movement both administrative and programmatically. In addition, this position will require the ability to coordinate and facilitate biweekly (as need expands, weekly) Braveheart meetings in Rockland for youth. Peer to Peer Navigators need to be facilitate focus groups, forums and activities to engage youth to address systemic concerns.
