About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a brass teacher to provide private music instruction and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, communicates regularly with students and parents about goals and progress, and works with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The role is with Music & Arts, part of the Guitar Center enterprise, which operates more than 225 retail stores, 200 educational representatives, and 250 affiliate locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience, especially with brass instruments.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with related instruments.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
