About The Position

ACAMS is seeking a Senior Manager, Brand to bring the organization's brand strategy to life across various channels, audiences, and brand moments. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate brand vision into impactful content, campaigns, and communications. The Senior Manager will work closely with the Senior Director of Brand & Communications, contributing to strategy, owning execution, and enhancing the brand at every touchpoint. The position is central to ACAMS' current phase of brand evolution, focusing on sharpening its story, deepening member engagement, and expanding its presence in a complex global industry. The ideal candidate is a hands-on brand generalist with strong instincts, a bias for action, creativity, and a genuine curiosity for the anti-financial crime (AFC) industry. They should be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional partners to develop high-impact narratives, messaging, and campaigns, identifying solutions proactively.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in brand, content, social media, communications, or marketing, with exposure across multiple functions.
  • B2B experience is required.
  • Background in financial services, compliance, professional services, or another regulated or complex industry is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial judgment, with the ability to produce and review content across multiple formats and audiences.
  • Experience supporting or developing brand campaigns end-to-end, from concept to execution.
  • Strategic capability to contribute to early-stage thinking and the follow-through to deliver campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience coordinating campaigns across teams and vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
  • Outstanding cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to align stakeholder expectations and work effectively across levels.
  • Resourceful and self-directed, comfortable working across levels and getting things done independently.
  • Familiarity with social media management, content strategy, and digital channels.
  • High adaptability and ability to respond to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Sprout, Canva, and Microsoft tools.
  • Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

  • Translate brand strategy into campaigns, content, and communications across channels (social, email, web, etc.).
  • Provide creative and strategic input for campaign development, including audience targeting, channel selection, messaging, and creative direction.
  • Manage editorial calendars and content planning to align brand activities with business priorities.
  • Write and edit content for various formats, including social media copy, executive communications, member-facing messages, long-form content, and campaign briefs.
  • Distill complex AFC topics into clear, credible, and engaging content for a professional audience.
  • Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across all content.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of ACAMS' social media channels, driving content strategy, posting cadence, experimentation, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor industry conversations and identify timely content opportunities on social media.
  • Support executive communications and strategic messaging initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the PR agency on external communications, including press strategy, briefing materials, messaging alignment, and content support.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across internal and external communications.
  • Partner with Events, Marketing, Thought Leadership, Chapters, and Editorial teams to identify content opportunities and align on priorities.
  • Act as a brand steward across the organization, assisting colleagues with brand standards.
  • Oversee marketing landing pages in collaboration with marketing stakeholders to optimize for impact and brand alignment.
