About The Position

This role is for an individual who wants to own the entire relationship-building process with CPG brands and their agencies, from initial contact to closing deals. The position is designed for someone who enjoys thorough research, understanding company structures, and building genuine social connections. The core of the role involves identifying and nurturing relationships with brands and agencies, with the goal of expanding Ripple Street's client base. This is a full-cycle sales role where you will be responsible for sourcing, building, and closing your own book of business. The role offers a growth path towards a Director level, with opportunities to expand your account list as you build a track record.

Requirements

  • Three to six years in CPG, brand-side marketing, agency, or sales.
  • At least one relationship carried through to a real outcome.
  • Comfort being accountable for results, both wins and misses.
  • Strong research instincts; ability to find the right contact at a company or agency and articulate why they are the right person.
  • Discipline about tracking work.
  • Clear writing skills for initial impressions via email.
  • Ability to understand and navigate complex parent company structures with multiple budgets and problems.

  • HubSpot experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a book of relationships across CPG brands and their agencies.
  • Conduct thorough research on companies, including organizational structure, earnings calls, press releases, and agency relationships.
  • Identify target buying groups based on winnability and understand their decision-making processes.
  • Source, develop, and close relationships within your assigned account list, managing the full sales cycle.
  • Work with both agencies and brands, understanding that agencies often shape who gets considered.
  • Build multiple relationships within each account to increase success.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on their potential, not just ease of conversation.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects for program design.
  • Carry accounts through their first program and into future expansions.
  • Log and track work honestly in the company's pipeline.
  • Contribute learnings to the team's playbook.
  • Openly communicate areas of uncertainty or learning.
