About The Position

People Inc. is seeking a Brand Marketing Coordinator to join our Beauty & Style Brand Marketing team, contributing to the brand and category strategy. In close partnership with Sales teams across the organization, you will help manage the pre-sale process and play a strategic role in driving revenue growth with advertising partners. You will assist the Director, working closely with our editorial teams (InStyle, Byrdie, Brides, SHAPE) developing editorial tentpoles & GTM strategy. This position reports to the Director, Marketing for Beauty and Style. The Beauty and Style brand marketing team oversees Go To Market strategy for InStyle and Byrdie. The team works closely with editorial to develop off-the-shelf programming, partnership opportunities for tentpole franchises, and cross-portfolio collaborations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
  • 1-2 years related experience, ideally in media, social media marketing, or fashion/beauty brand work.
  • Excellent creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations (fluent in Keynote and Powerpoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media and beauty/style industry trends
  • You’re an excellent communicator, who remains poised under pressure and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
  • You are a true self-starter with a desire to learn and take on new challenges – provide proactive ideas, understand organizational goals, and move initiatives forward
  • Must be highly organized with ability to prioritize
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
  • You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist on proactive and RFP responses, creating smart, strategic ideas for advertising partners looking to work with InStyle, Byrdie, Brides, or SHAPE
  • Support the marketing team in developing compelling brand-specific sales materials as well as off-the-shelf marketing programs for relevant advertisers
  • Help coordinate special projects and team organization tracks to help keep the team organized day to day.
