In this role you’ll play a key role in advancing the innovation agenda for some our most cherished consumer brands including Special K, Vector and Kashi among others. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious and constantly looking for ways to innovate beyond the status quo. You’ll use your analytical skills to identify and solve problems that others may not realize exist. Requirements

  • University undergraduate degree in business or marketing
  • 3-5 years of Brand Marketing experience, related experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods company
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven project management ability with a bias for action and attention to details
  • Experience in strategy development, leading innovation development and creative campaign and packaging development
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to analyze data and synthesize syndicated data including strong AC Nielsen experience.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills with an ability to lead projects, influence and effectively collaborate both internally and externally from peers to leadership, both by informal communications and formal presentations
  • Ability to partner effectively with U.S. counterparts and cross functional stakeholders to optimize outcome and results.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, result-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC applications, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA with a focus in marketing
  • Proven P&L analysis/understanding
  • Experience in the consumer-packaged goods sector and a passion for food
  • Understanding of the Canadian retail landscape
  • Experience leading cross functional teams without direct line reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual planning process for a portfolio of brands, from building a 3-5 year strategic vision to tactical project innovation pipeline development.
  • Bring your fresh ideas on your Kellogg journey throughout the innovation cycle – from inception to in-market execution. Offer insights related to market trends, primary & secondary data, competition, packaging and agency management.
  • Ownership of budgeting, tracking, reporting and P&L management for innovation projects.
  • Leverage the 4 P’s of marketing in working with commercial partners to optimize in-market potential.
  • Partner with cross-functional colleagues to troubleshoot tough challenges and refine go-to-market strategy for executional excellence.
