Brand Designer

About The Position

Curri is seeking a Brand Designer to help shape the company’s developing brand and deliver work across its most visible touchpoints. The design team covers brand, web, design systems, marketing, events, video, and animation. This role will own a significant share of brand work, including sales decks, social media, advertisements, and events, while building templates and an asset library that help sales and marketing work more efficiently. Success means producing strong work quickly and helping define the brand’s direction. The role spans marketing and sales assets, templates and tools, motion design, in-house video production, illustration and imagery, event and merchandise experiences, and organization of brand systems and files. It is a hybrid role based out of Curri’s Ventura, California office, working closely with the core design team. The position offers mentorship and feedback from senior designers and a stated path to Brand Designer II.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of brand, marketing, or visual design experience, in-house or at an agency.
  • A portfolio demonstrating shipped work rather than only concepts and mockups.
  • Strong fundamentals in typography, color, layout, and hierarchy, with a clear eye for polished, current design.
  • Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Hands-on motion experience using After Effects, Figma Motion, Rive, or similar tools.
  • Curiosity about tools such as Midjourney and other AI image generators, with a clear point of view on when to use them and how to refine their outputs.
  • Ability to work across print, digital, and motion; manage multiple requests without compromising quality; receive feedback openly; and explain design decisions clearly to non-designers.

Nice To Haves

  • A portfolio showing brand system work and explaining the design process, not just one-off pieces.
  • Experience building templates or tools adopted by non-designers.
  • Experience making an unglamorous category look good, and enthusiasm for doing so again.
  • Background in design-forward B2B SaaS, logistics, or construction technology.

Responsibilities

  • Design marketing and sales assets, including decks, one-pagers, case studies, social content, paid ads, email, and blog imagery.
  • Build templates and tools that enable sales and marketing teams to create polished work independently.
  • Create motion work, including animated social posts, web animations, and video graphics, and contribute to in-house video production.
  • Expand the visual asset library with new illustration and imagery directions that advance the brand.
  • Design event and merchandise experiences, including booth graphics, signage, and swag.
  • Keep the brand system, files, and documentation organized so the team can find materials and work efficiently.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • Equity compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • 401(k).
  • Regular mentorship and feedback from senior designers.
  • A stated career path to Brand Designer II.
