About The Position

Consumers Credit Union is hiring a part-time Branch Specialist for its Mundelein branch. This early-career, member-facing position combines Concierge, Teller, and Personal Banker responsibilities. The Branch Specialist welcomes members, performs financial transactions, opens accounts, and educates members about products and services. The role offers exposure to branch operations and growth opportunities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of similar work experience, such as retail, customer service, guest relations, sales, or cash handling.
Comfort promoting products and services and engaging in consultative, sales-oriented conversations.
Comfort with technology, including data systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based tools.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Positive, team-oriented mindset with integrity and commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Availability to work the schedule listed in the posting: Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m.–5:15 p.m.; Friday, 8:15 a.m.–6:15 p.m.; and regular Saturdays, 8:15 a.m.–1:15 p.m.

Responsibilities

Welcome members in the branch and create a positive first impression.
Assist and educate members on self-service options, including Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
Process transactions accurately and resolve account and service needs.
Open new consumer accounts efficiently and with attention to detail.
Identify opportunities to connect members with loans, mortgages, and wealth management services.
Recommend improvements that enhance the member experience and branch operations.
Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, audits, and balancing standards.
