About The Position
Consumers Credit Union is hiring a full-time Branch Specialist for its Mundelein branch. This hands-on, early-career role combines Concierge, Teller, and Personal Banker responsibilities. The Branch Specialist welcomes members, processes transactions, opens accounts, and connects members with products and services suited to their financial goals. The position is an opportunity to begin or grow a career in financial services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in retail, customer service, sales, or cash handling.
- Comfort promoting products and services and engaging in consultative, sales-oriented conversations.
- Strong comfort level with technology, including data systems, Microsoft Office, and web-based tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with integrity and commitment to inclusion and diversity.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week within the stated schedule, including regular Saturdays.
Nice To Haves
- Banking, Teller, or Personal Banker experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and create a positive first impression in the branch.
- Assist and educate members on self-service options, including Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
- Process transactions accurately and resolve account and service needs.
- Open new consumer accounts efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Identify opportunities to connect members with loans, mortgages, and wealth management services.
- Recommend improvements that enhance the member experience and branch operations.
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, audits, and balancing standards.
