About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers through guidance, product knowledge, and a customer-focused attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting between customer assistance and warehouse tasks throughout the day. You will report to the Branch Manager. The position is based at the Tukwila, Washington branch and is part-time, 30 hours.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work at any time within the branch's hours of operation.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including selecting appropriate products, entering orders accurately, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Identify opportunities to maximize sales and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication to different audiences by email, phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and use computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain the branch's appearance to Grainger standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
