About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will assist walk-in customers by providing product guidance and solutions, using your product knowledge and customer-service skills. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting between customer assistance and warehouse tasks throughout the day. You will report to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

Flexibility to work at any time within the branch's hours of operation.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
Ability to learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Manage the customer experience, including selecting products, entering orders accurately, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
Communicate effectively with different audiences by email, phone, and in person.
Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
Perform inventory counts.
Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
Perform housekeeping to maintain the branch's appearance to Grainger standards.
Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
