About The Position
As a part-time Branch Sales Associate, you will assist walk-in customers by providing solutions, product guidance, and knowledgeable service. You will maximize sales opportunities, build customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting between customer service and warehouse tasks throughout the day. This position reports to the Branch Manager and is based at 4314 Will Rogers Pkwy., Oklahoma City, OK 73108-1864. The position is hourly, with an anticipated base pay range of $17.31 to $21.64. Requirements
- Be flexible to work any time within branch hours of operation.
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.
- Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the customer experience, including product selection, order entry, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
- Identify opportunities to maximize sales and encourage customer loyalty.
- Adapt communication style for different audiences when communicating by email, phone, or in person.
- Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
- Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
- Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
- Perform inventory counts.
- Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain branch appearance according to Grainger standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
