About The Position

Battleground Community Library has an opening for a full-time Branch Operations Manager. This position reports to the Branch Manager and participates in managing the day-to-day operations of the branch. They directly supervise employees. This role is responsible for prioritizing and scheduling staff and daily activities for the branch, training, mentoring, evaluating and providing performance feedback to staff, volunteers and substitutes, responding to patron problems, seeking to resolve them and providing positive outcomes; providing direction and guidance for other staff in resolving patron problems, checking out books, processing holds and shelving books, helping patrons with their accounts, assisting patrons with technology such as computers and eDevices to download ebook, providing direction and guidance to staff all processes and systems related to patron accounts and material circulation, participating in organizational meetings and committees, and serving as a back-up facilitator for programs, such as storytimes, when regular facilitators are unavailable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience; including customer service.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of supervisory experience of employee workers. This does not include working as PIC, supervising volunteers, or supervising students.
