About The Position

Mariner Finance is hiring a Branch Operations Intern to support customer service and branch operations. The intern greets customers, directs them to appropriate staff, handles telephone inquiries, provides account-status information, assists with loan-closing paperwork, and maintains accurate customer information in the electronic data system. Additional functions may be assigned based on market demand and staffing. This is a part-time, non-exempt role requiring at least 15 hours per week. Work hours depend on the business hours of the time zone served; seasonal Saturday hours may be required as business needs dictate. The position requires physical presence in the office. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Communication, or a related field of study.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly, provide assistance, and direct them to the appropriate staff member.
• Answer telephone calls, provide information, and enter correspondence information in the system as applicable.
• Provide customers with superior service regarding the status of their current accounts.
• Complete and file paperwork involved in the loan-closing process.
• Ensure customer information is accurate and up to date in the electronic data system.
• Perform additional functions as needed based on market demand and staffing to provide consistent customer service.
