About The Position

The Branch Internship provides hands-on experience at a local distribution center, working alongside branch leadership, operations, sales, and customer service teams. Over the summer, interns learn the business from the ground up, take ownership of a strategic project, and gain experience that may prepare them for consideration for the full-time Management Trainee (MIT) Program after graduation. Interns learn the day-to-day operations of a multi-million-dollar distribution center and gain exposure to receiving, warehouse operations, dispatch, delivery, customer service, order entry, and outside sales. The experience includes shadowing sales professionals, participating in a three-day visit to corporate headquarters, and taking part in hands-on branch activities, including occasional handling of building materials. This is an on-site internship at a branch location in the Midwest Region. The internship is for 10–12 weeks between May and August, and requires full-time availability. The standardized base pay is $20 per hour. Strong performers may be considered for the Management Trainee Program following graduation.
